Our Pedal the Cause fundraising efforts begin this Friday, June 21st and run through Sunday, September 29th. Each location has a fundraising goal of $2,000.
Michelle has added a “Pedal the Cause Donation” sku in the checkout screen of eKennelwood. With this sku, staff will key in the dollar amount being donated.
The idea this year is that the treadmill dogs will walk on the treadmill to help raise funds. We don’t expect the dogs to walk a mile for every donation made at your location, but rather the idea is that we will see the dogs on the treadmills frequently. A team t-shirt has been provided for your treadmill dog to wear, if they will tolerate it, while walking on the treadmill. Photos and videos of your dogs walking to help find a cure for cancer are encouraged often!
With your deliveries on Thursday and Friday this week, you will receive the following:
• Your staff’s Pedal the Cause 2019 t-shirt orders. These shirts can be worn any day of the week from 6/21 - 9/29.
• A poster with a bone shaped thermometer to track your location’s fundraising efforts. The poster is laminated with a special
dry erase material. Please see the attached photo for reference and write in the suggested dollar amount benchmarks with the provided dry erase markers. * It’s imperative that you only use the provided dry erase markers on this poster* We will be reusing these posters year after year.
• An envelope containing a photo of your location’s treadmill dog, a team t-shirt for your location’s treadmill dog, and two blue dry erase markers. Please reference the attached photo again for how we imagined you would use your team dog’s photo with the thermometer.
• A stack of Pedal the Cause bandanas to offer as incentive or a “thank you gift” for $10 or more donations. Please give these away to customer’s who donate $10 or more.
One additional item to note, I ordered branded, collapsible, silicone water bowls as a gift for anyone who donates $10 or more.
However, the item is on backorder until mid July. As soon as those arrive, we can begin offering those as incentives or “thank you gifts” for $10 minimum donations. More details and direction will follow as soon as they arrive.
